Thank you for stopping in to learn a little more about the face behind the camera!
I am thrilled to be entering this 5th year creating art for families like yours! After earning an undergraduate degree in biology and working in a lab setting, I knew it wasn't my true passion. Those problem solving tools still come into play with each session, but my true joy is collaborating creatively with you!
Prior to having these 2 crazy kiddos I worked in the daycare field for 6 years. I have always enjoyed the energy children bring to the table and am now excited to be a very active member of our school's PTA and a softball coach, dedicating hours of devotion to every project! You will be sure to see that same level of commitment from our first consultation to the delivery of your products.
What do I like to photograph for fun? Macro! I love the patience it requires to capture a tiny insect on a flower. Couples planning your wedding, I know you have put a lot of thought into all of the details to create an amazing experience for your guests, and I love to preserve those memories for you! And who doesn't love a close up of those teeny finger nails and toes of a brand new baby!
As a mom, I know it can be a task as you prepare your family for portraits, and it is my goal to make your experience fun! You may catch me with silly voices or singing to capture some smiles, but us adults typically laugh more! While I offer light posing suggestions, the best images usually come from your family's natural interactions and I can not wait to work with you to create those memories!
fun facts:
I have completed a full marathon! (And have lots of energy for a full day of photographing your wedding.)
Love to camp/hike/explore! (Which leads me to new locations for outdoor family sessions.)
Freeze when it goes below 40 (but still brave the weather for those cold weather sessions!)
